Alameda Classic Car Show
Wondering what fine events are happening soon near your fantastic Alameda apartment? It’s seems Alameda’s in the middle of a lot when it comes to amazing live events, and as it turns out, one of them is right around the corner. If you’re into old-school cars and looking to mix it up in the streets of downtown Alameda, then the famed Downtown Alameda Classic Car Show, making its return on October 12th, will certainly be the event for you. It’s free from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and there’s fun to be had for the whole family. If you’re thinking of attending this year, here’s some of what you can expect when you arrive.
Having Fun at the Alameda Classic Car Show
Just a word to the wise, registration for displaying old cars at the classic car show has already passed, so you’ll have to enjoy the event as a spectator and not a participant if you haven’t already submitted your paperwork. That being said, there’s still a great time in store for you when you head down to downtown Alameda for the festivities. The general premise of this event shouldn’t be too hard to guess, but if you aren’t quite sure, the event organizers have helpfully spelled it all out:
“Classic cars of every description will line up along Park Street between Encinal Ave and Buena Vista Ave – antique roadsters, coupes, hot rods, muscle cars, and much more. Most of the cars come from the magical decades of the '50s and the '60s, but there will also be plenty of muscle cars from the '70s and '80s along with classic beauties from the '20s, '30s, and '40s.”
Like we said, this will be your kind of show if you have a love for those vintage body styles and classic paint jobs. You’ll see all manner of legendary automobile at the show and all the while, a DJ will be in attendance, spinning heavy beats for you to vibe with while you’re gawking at all those fine vehicles. What’s more, being downtown Alameda, you’ll have your run of all the stores, establishments and businesses if you want to do a little bit of shopping. This is the 26th annual iteration of the show, so you can be sure they’re pulling out all the stops. Head down on the 12th, and have a blast!
